I've been trying to change the default font for Word from times to Lucinda
Grande. I've tried changing the Normal style and also setting the font to LG
then clicking the default button, but the next time I start word, it's back
to Times. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Greetings Rocco,

There may be a problem with the Normal template. To test this, with Word
closed try renaming the Normal to Normal Old, for example. When Word
launches, set your default font again, close, then reopen and check..

Hi Rocco,

It's the Normal template that you need to make the change to, not just the
Normal style. Every document you open which is based on the Normal template
will open with the Normal template's default styles, unless you make the
change to the Normal template.

One way to do this is to open the Normal template (it's in the Templates
folder which is in the Microsoft Office folder). Now whatever changes you
make (providing that you save them when you exit the Normal template) will
be carried over to the next document you open.
