Word Office 2003

When I go to close word even if I dont have a document up I get a message....

"Word cannot save or create this file. Make sure that the disk you want to
save the file on is not full, write-protected, or damaged. " (C:\Normal.dot)

I tried to reinstall word many times and get the same thing......
