WORD Office X immediately crashes on launch

Word X has been working fine for me for year(s) (except the
occassional crash) but for the last 2 days it crashes on launch with
opening a file, or just being started standalone. The only recent
changes to my Mac PowerBook G4 have been the latest Airport Extreme
update - and the 10.3.4 update though I think it did run OK after the
10.3.4 update. I do not think an Airport Extreme update should have
any bearing on WORD X (Excel, Powerpoint, etc. all run fine) but
wanted to post here to see if anyone has similar experiences. Thanks/

Hard to tell, but neither update by itself should cause crashes. Take a
