Word often hangs when I try to save!

Hi, I use Word 2003 (11.56054.5606) with Windows XP SP2 and access
files on a network drive. When I select File|Save on the
menu or push the Save button, Word hangs so that I need to shut it down
using Task Manager. This does not always happen, only every fifth save
or so.

How do I resolve this issue?

Does it happen with other computers on the network? Does it hang if you try
to save it to the C: drive?
