When I try to open a file using Open... from the File menu, I get an infinitely wide blank window that locks up Word. Last night I upgraded from Word 2004 to Word 2008 and was disappointed to see that I still have the problem of being unable to use Open... to open files. I can still open them from the finder by double-clicking.
