Word opening error

I installed Office 2004 a month or two ago, and all components opened
and worked fine except Word. When launched, the prompt spins and it
sounds like it's 'working', but this will go on for an hour without the
application ever opening. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office,
with the same result. Any suggestions?

Hi Tim,

There's a conflict somewhere and it could have various causes. Font
duplication or corruption is one possibility. See this article for ways to
