Word Opens Minimized

Hi, this just started happening... and cant resolve..

When opening a word doc (docx) in word 2007, the document opens in minimized
mode. I try to restore and maximize the document, but it will not
completely open from the minimized mode.

Any help would be appreciated!

Open two documents, then right-click in the windows taskbar and choose the
side-by-side options. Close one of the documents and then maximise the
other.
