Using Office 2003 Pro, on a machine with XP Pro. Up to now Word has been
behaving correctly. When I open Word to a blank document in Print Layout
View the cursor is at the very top of the document. No margin, in spite of
the fact that the doc margins are set at top = 1". If I select View menu,
Header & Footer the display becomes correct and when I dismiss header &
footer the document is back to normal with the cursor at the 1" position.
This happens regardless of which template I open. It appears that Word has
forgotten about the margin settings until I invoke Header & Footer. Deleted
Normal.dot, rebooted, no change. Reinstalled MS Office 2003 Professional,
Enterprise Edition resulting in no change.
Any ideas, assistance to correct this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Henry
