Word OS X won't start

Dave Cohn

when I first start up my G4 with OS X 10.2.6 and office 10.1.5 it just
hangs at the welcome screen. Then I force quit and the second time it
works fine until I restart. Then the same thing happens.

I have used Disk Warrior Disk Utilities, deleted cashes and Word prefs
and can't seem to fix this. Poper Point and Excel are fine. Only Word
exibits this behavior.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Hi Dave,

First try repairing permissions: Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.
Open up Disk Utility. Select your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab.
Click the button to "Repair Disk Permissions".

If that doesn't help, see here for a likely explanation/fix:

If you are using Safari you may have trouble accessing this site. If that's
the situation, fire up Internet Explorer.
