Word/Outlook conflict

A few months ago I posted about a problem between Outlook 2003 and Word 2003
where Word will not open correctly fully maximized as it should if Outlook
is running at the same time. Word is frozen about 3/4" down from the top of
the screen and will not move. Word will minimize and go to the task bar but
will not maximize. The only fix was to shut down Outlook when I wanted to
use Word - real pain. I thought I had fixed that problem back then but for
the life of me cannot remember what the fix was.

Fast forward and right after installing IE 7 the problem with Word and
Outlook is back again, having to quit Outlook in order to use Word.

Please, if someone has any idea what to do for this short of throwing my
machine in the river...

Someone, please help, I cannot be the only person in the world with this
problem.

The window location settings for Word is stored in the Registry under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data

Specifically in the Settings value. Exit Word and Outlook and
rename/delete the Settings value and see if the problem is resolved.

As always, prior to making any changes to the Registry you should
review "Backing up the Registry" and "Restoring the Registry" in the
Registry Help.

In this situation you may want to use the Registry/Export Registry
file command, export your selected branch, and delete the key. That
way if you find the change wasn't necessary or incorrect, you can
merge the deleted branch back to the Registry by double-clicking the
resulting file.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.

I can only add that it has been reported on rare occasions - I mean very
rare occasions. I suggest that you call Microsoft Support and log a problem
for this one as we have not seen a resolution to it.
