Word/Outlook crash when I cut-and-paste from web, suggestions?

Word and Outlook are both freezing whenever I try to paste text copied from
the Internet sites. Copy and paste within either program is no problem.
I've loaded all of the updates, run my defrag and virusware programs. Anyone
have suggestions of other system resources or anything?
