Word Pad Dowload Problem

How can I download to wordpad? When someone sends me a
document that I need to download, word pad will not open
it. It gives me an application error and closes the
window. It seems that no matter what I download, it goes
to wordpad to be opened and wordpad does not work. How
can I fixed this problem please? Thank you Shirley

If it is a Word document that someone is sending, it may very well not open
in WordPad. Do you have Word on your computer? If not, you can get a Word
viewer that will allow you to read and print Word docs. See
