Word PDF and Exchange??

D

db

I swear, this vista and
office 07 can be really
aggrevating - really.

I hope someone can
enlighten me with an
issue concerning word
and "send as pdf" and
"exchange"

normally, I simply use
acrobat to make a pdf
of documents.

but why is it that word
cannot make a pdf?

or if it is making a pdf
then why do I get a message
about my address book
and "exchange".

briefly I looked at my
address book in outlook
and it is located or something
as a "mapi".

why would my personal
computer need "exchange"
to be configured?

thanks for any clues.

You need to offer a bit more than that to work with.

How are you attempting to make a PDF and what happens when you try?
or if it is making a pdf

and "exchange".

Because the app that's issuing the message is trying to tell you
something.

Tell us what's in the caption/title bar of the message and what the

Outlook uses Contacts, the outlook address book is simply a filterd view of
Contacts who have electronic addresses, eg Fax or email
It depends what type of account has been setup in Outlook as to its
configeration, eg pop, imap etc

db

yeah,

when in word and
select send to as
pdf.

as mentioned before
normally I just use
acrobat to make a
pdf via the print to
in word.

but decided to try
out words' inherent
pdf maker.

it seems to make the
pdf but stalls when
trying to open a mail
message.

the error eludes to
something regarding
address book or contacts
having to do with exchange.

I'm going to try out
milly's suggestion.

ok,

I did open the contacts
or address book in
outlook and saw a
correlation to mapi.

but didn't' know how
to modify it.

the address book was
also only had 5 entries
but in outlook express I
have like 50 contacts.

so I guess I need to link
them or merge them or
something....

I'm going to try milly's
suggestion then see
about merging or porting
contacts between the
two outlooks.
