Word PDF's are "Corrupted" (Mac)

Using a Mac, I've converted over 100 Word documents (Newsletters) into PDFs
using Word's print to PDF feature. New converted files are opening on my
desktop. However, when they are uploaded to my website, they are returned
with this message:

"Acrobat could not open 'Newsletter11.pdf' because it is either not a
supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was
sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print
the document to Adobe PDF."

What I've tried:
1. Older PDFs download fine.
2. Uninstalled Word and reinstalled.
3. Tried Adobe Acrobat 9 to convert the file.
4. Made a new 1 page Word document (text only), uploaded it, and it came
back with the same error message.
5. Tried uploading using Safari, Firefox, and Explorer.

*I'll try uploading a file from another computer when I get a chance to make
sure it's not the website corrupting the file during upload, but I don't
think this is the problem.

Anybody...Please help! I need this feature for many activities.

This couldn't be a version conflict with the Acrobat Reader that is viewing
the PDFs could it?

But you left out the one piece of information that might have unlocked the
puzzle: "What version of Word are you using? On what version of the
operating system?"

Cheers
