Word picture object arrows, strange zoom

Hi,

While working in Word 2002, SP-2 I'm experiencing some very strange
behavior with picture objects and how they react when the Zoom on the
document is changed. If I zoom out on the document, the arrow heads
in the pictures appear on screen disproportional – they are suddenly
enormous compared to the rest of the drawing.

To replicate the behavior:
In a blank Word doc, from the menu choose Insert-->Object-->Microsoft
Word Picture
Draw an arrow using the "Arrow" tool on the drawing toolbar.
Close the Picture with the Close Picture button on the toolbar.
Change the Zoom to "Whole Page". Notice how the arrow heads are huge?

This may appear a minimal problem with only one arrow, but I have many
drawings that will include 4-8 arrows together in a small space. When
the arrow heads look so big, it throws off the way the whole picture
looks.

I'm currently using Word's "Full Screen" view for classroom lectures,
and would like to include these pictures without them looking so
strange. I know that PowerPoint is available for this type of
presentation, but for a variety of reasons the Full Screen view option
works best for the way that I'm teaching (for example one reason is
that text can be typed on the fly into the document).

I would really appreciate any help…
Thanks,
CJ
