Word pop-up window with text

Please help!! I'm writing some technical procedures at work and was curious if it's possible to do one of two scenarios. I would like to have a separate text window open within the document by either clicking on a specific word or by adding a button within the document. I'm hoping this is possible by either using visual basic or visual studio, or even something simpler. There must be unlimited characters allowed in the popup text window, I say that because I already know about the F9 autotext trick. But that has limited characters. Thanks in advance!
