Word Powerpoint crash

Just set up the new Dell workstation. Windows XP SP 2. Added an HP printer,
AVG Virus and Quicken 2007. Installed all Windows critical and optional
updates from Microsoft web site. Office 2007 is crashing on a consistent
basis when I run Powerpoint. Word will crash at random. IN PP all I have to
do is open then close and I get the error. I ran diagnostics and it states
no errors. I send error report with no response. I ran Office updates and
still get errors. Uninstall Office and reinstall same thing. Error event
is 7001 but cannot find an answer searching KB articles. Any help would be
appreciated.

I too have had these problems with more than just PowerPoint. Mine have been happening in almost all Office 2k7 programs, but mostly with PPT & Outlook.

I have, however, been able to (at least temporarily) fix the problems by uninstalling the Business Contact Manager.
