Word Preferences when opening....

Got a question regarding when Word opens, does it always have to open a
blank, white page to begin a session? I find this annoying, when sometimes
all I want to do is have the toolbar at my fingertips, until I'm ready to get to
that work....

I've looked thru the Preferences dialogs, and couldn't see one that
addressed this issue....

There's no way to change that as far as I know. It's default behavior and
not controlled by a preference. Just get used to hitting Command>w every
time you open Word. Or you could use the Feedback feature on the Help menu
to let MS know how you feel about it.
