Word Printing Problems After Win7 Upgrade

Kevin

After upgrading from Vista to Win7, I can't print from Word2007 to an
existing printer on my home network. I can print files from Exel, Adobe etc,
but when I open an existing document file I can't print it. If I create a pdf
of the file and call it up in adobe, I can't print it from there either.

The documant shows up on the print que from the sending computer, but does
show up in the que on the computer to which the printer is attached.

The same document called up by another computer on the network running XP
can print just fine.

Other computers running Vista or XP can print other documents just fine.

This is very strange. Does anyone have an idea that can point me in the
right direction?

Delete and reinstall the printer making sure that you have the latest Win 7
driver for the printer.

Thanks - I've actually deleted and reinsatlled the printer 2x. There is no
new driver for Win 7 - per HP, it should work, but without full functionality
- the same thing they said for Vista. Theie web site indiactes that the Win 7
basic driver will be OK. All other programs appear to print fine - including
other Office 2007 programs. As a test, I started with a blank WORD document
and typed a nonesense paragraph and was able to print it OK. If I call up an
existing file - can't print it. If I start with a new blank doc and cut/paste
existing content into it - can't print. If I save as a pdf - can' t print
through Adobe.

This is more than a little baffling.

Very strange indeed. Are you logged in as an Administrator or a user? Are
all updates and patches installed?
