Word Printing

Just installed Office 2004 on a G5 iMac running 10.4.2. I print to
either an HP1320 or, if I want color, to a Kyocera 5016.

Printing to the HP is fine in all apps. I can print to the Kyocera in
all apps EXCEPT Word. I can even go back to Office X and open the same
document and it will print but not in 2004.

I tried changing the font but that didn't help. I reinstalled the
driver and that didn't help. Any suggestions?

I am not to sure about Mac installations, but with windows you have to
make sure that when you reinstall a driver the old version has been
fully deleted.

Kyocera provide a driver deleter utility for windows, but I am not sure
if this applies or works on a Mac.

I would get the latest driver for your printer from
http://amistad.kyocera.co.uk/pages/info/kdl/drivers.asp , then try
uninstalling your current driver and replacing it with the latest
version.

No Suggestions. The Kyocera driver is bad: we've had that one before.

If Kyocera can't supply a new driver, you could use the driver for any other
printer that produces KMPL3 (PS3 Emulation), or PCL6 (PCL5c/PCL-XL)

In other words, the HP driver will quite likely successfully run the Kyocera
printer :)

Cheers

Actually, Apple's own Generic Postscript Driver should do the trick for
virtually any printer and it's the one that Apple recommends in the absence
of working driver. Please do try using that too and see if you can print. If
you can't let me know.

Thanks,
