Word prints print codes instead of bar codes

Have two computers, both use the same printer. The one connected directly to
printer prints the codes instead of the barcodes with Word. I tried to fix
by reinstalling the printer driver ... no help. This computer allows the
other computer to print properly through it. Also the computer having
problems prints okay with WordPerfect. Both computers have Windows XP (1
pro), Pentium 4, 1.5 gig or higher, 1024 megs of ram, one is 2 years old &
one is 3. Dell Inspiron 8200 works okay and Dell Dimension 8100 is sick.
Both Have Office XP Small Business factory installed. All updates are
current including bios.

Not sure what you mean by "prints the codes", but try clicking on Tools
| Options | Print | uncheck the "Field codes" box | OK.
