Word problem

Hi,

Having Office XP on a Dell Dimension 2400 with XP Pro SP2, at the moment
Word tends to just shut down. Office XP has been updated with the latest
office patches. I don`t know if this happens to Excell, Power Point, or
Access yet, the user hasn`t indicated any problems with that. The system is
regularly scanned for spyware and has Symantec Corporate AV installed. So
far, no error windows has popped up, just word closes with no warning. Any
suggestions? Thank you

Have you tried to repair or reinstall Office on that machine?

Hi,

Haven`t gone that far yet, want to try to trouble shoot it before doing the
repair or re-install.

Hi Jeff, Today is 1/31/05

I'm having the same problem. I can working in word and the screen will go
black and then that 5 second shut down window appears and then the system
will come back up. Any data that was not save is lost. There no warning and
it only happens in word. Help anybody
