Word Problem

I teach word processing in a high school setting. This
year we upgraded to Office XP. Since the upgrade we have
had several incidents of a block filled with some of our
document text scrolling up and down in the document
covering our document text. Sometimes the block is filled
with blank lines, sometimes with portions of a dialog
box. This block (rectangle shaped, about 6 inches long
and 1 inch high)does not print or save in the document.
The only way we have been able to get rid of it is to
close completely out of Word and reopen Word. This has
occurred on many of our computers and on more than one
occasion. We have a second lab running Office XP that has
also experienced the same problem. I know this sounds
really weird, but it's becoming quite a nuisance. Does
anybody have any ideas?

I'm having a hard time visualizing exactly what you're talking about. Can
you email me a screen shot that shows what you're talking about? Email to:

Is this applicable? See "OFFXP: Toolbar in Office Applications Cause
Rectangular Area of Computer Screen Do Not Refresh" at
