Word Problems in Office 2003

When I write in Word say in size 14 letters it will be printed out in size 8
letters, When I write in size 16 letters it will be printed out in size 10
letters ect. ect. My HP printer people diagnosed that the problem is with
Word not the printer.

Has anyone any suggestions how I can successfully resolve this problem so
that my printer prints in the size that I write?

Does it do it using all fonts? How are you measuring the font size?
What printer are you using? Have you tried a different printer? Have you
tried using a different program other than Word?

Hi Zygy,

In Word 2003 in File=>Print check:

'Zoom' settings to see if its set for anything other than 1 page and No scaling, and check "Print What" to see if it's set to
print 'document' or 'document showing markup'

Also in File=>Page Setup check:

the Margins Tab, to see if it's set to something other than 'Normal' and the Paper Tab to see if the paper size is set correctly.

Hi Bob,

As usual you offered the solution in the first few words! The problem was
the "Zoom" setting at 200%. How it got to be set at that escapes me, but set
at 100% it prints in all the sizes correctly. Many thanks!
