Word 2002 quits every time I try to click on "Insert
Symbol" - does anyone know why this might be happening
and what I need to do to fix it? I've got a huge project
and it entails inserting a lot of these special
characters. Please HELP!!!!

This often indicates a problem with the printer driver. Try deleting and
reinstalling the printer, preferably with an updated driver from the
manufacturer's Web site.

Hi Suzanne,

I'm seeing you've replied to a number of variations of this question. Sorry
for the repeat but I have done what you suggested, I have the most-up-to-date
driver for my printer, and it's still shutting down.

Try clearing out the temp files from your user folder. See
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm for advice on this.
