word quits when pasting text or html

I copied text from a web page and tried pasting it into MS
Word (office XP) MS Word quits and sends error report. I
have used this for 18 months without a problem until
today. Also, when I open web pages I get an error
message "Run Time error Unidentified Object " and then
a line number which varies from one page to the next.
I never recieved this type of error message before, and it
started happening at the same time it had the problem with
MS Word. I am running Win2k and IE6.0 thanks, Jim
