Word quits when switching documents

Hi,

I work with someone who has a problem with Word 2003, (all service packs up
to date). Word crashes when switching between documents. When he starts Word
back up, the documents are in the recovery window, and they recover fine,
but without the most recent changes. Not quite sure what to do about that
one... Any suggestions?
