Word quits

I updated Office X to 10.1.5 today. Now Word will not start. All of the other
Office programs start fine. I have dumped Word prefs. I'm running 10.3.2
Does anyone have any clues?

Thanks

When you say Word won't start, do you mean it quits unexpectedly after
showing the splash screen?

Try repairing disk permissions: Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.
Open up Disk Utility. Select your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab.
Click the button to "Repair Disk Permissions".

If you're still having problems, close Word and delete the Word Font Cache
and the Carbon Registration Database. They will be recreated when you
reopen Word. I'm assuming that when you said you dumped the Word prefs, you
meant the Word Settings file. If not, trash that too.

If that doesn't do it, you may have problems with corrupt/duplicate fonts or
you may need to uninstall/reinstall Office. Post back for the procedures.
