Word - red border

I have this Word document with red borders, somewhat like dots, around some
of the text and would like to get rid of it as I don't know what it means?

Chances are that it's a frame with a red dotted border.
Select the frame by right clicking its the dotted bit and choose format
frame. Either remove the frame or set the border to none.
