Word ruler has 46 at right. Tools/Opt/Gen. is inches. How reset?

It's me.

My Word ruler shows 46 at the right of the ruler. I need to reset it to the
default. I know to go to Tools/Options/General and set measurement to
inches...but that doesn't make a difference. It is already in inches.

What's going on?
