Word saves in RTF format

Running Microsoft Word 2002 (10.4524.4219) SP-2, Word saves documents in RTF
format by default. How can I change the default to Microsoft Word format?

In the Save As Box when you are giving your document a title, you will see Save
As Type down below. Just click the down arrow and choose Word Document.
