Word searching for an uninstalled program

At one point, "Naturally Speaking" was installed on the
computer I'm using. It has since been removed, but
whenever I open Word or start up my computer, I get
errors telling me that dgnword.dll is not an acceptable
office addin, and it tells me that Word has a dialog
open. If I open Word in its safe mode, I don't get these
errors. I tried searching for dgnword.dll on my
computer, but it's not there.

How do I go about finding that add-in to delete it? I
tried finding the startup folder, but I don't know what
I'm looking for.

Word's Startup folder is most likely at <Windows drive>:\Documents and
Settings\<Profile Name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Word. You can find it by
using Windows Search to look for "Startup" (you'll find quite a few others
as well). But you can see what add-ins are loading from the Startup folder
by looking at the list in Tools | Templates and Add-ins. You can then go to
Tools | Macro | Macros, select each specific add-in, and see what macros it
contains.

It's possible the problem is caused by a COM add-in. See

When I go into the Start up folder for word, there's
nothing in it. I tried showing hidden files, but that
didn't show any files either. I know there should be
files in the folder, but I don't know why it's empty.

Did you look for COM add-ins? How about add-ins in the Office Startup
folder?

I looked for COM addins and the only one that was listed
was for my scanner. When I clicked on the COM, the same
error showed up like it does when I start Word or my
computer. I looked in the Office Startup folder and
there were no addins listed there.

I couldn't find anything that looked like it was
for "Naturally Speaking". I checked out the macro, but I
didn't find anything.
