It is very common for me to receive word documents that contain screenshots.
The common way people do this is to press the "Screen Print" button on the
keyboard and then pasting the result into the document. However the problem
is that the images captured are bitmap images, so document gets very large
with just a few screenshots. Now it is possible to paste the result into an
image editor and the save it to a different format and then paste that into
the document. However that is a very roundabout to get what you want.
Additionally some of the people creating these document do not have the
understanding to do such a process. My suggestion is that when the user tries
to paste a bitmap image in Word, the user is presented with a dialog box
offering to convert the images to another format (e.g. GIF, JPEG, PNG,...).
