Currently Word has a "Keep with Next" option in paragraph settings. This is
fine if your document has a few headers with lots of paragraphs and you want
to make sure that the first paragraph stays with the heading. You set the
"Keep with Next" option for the heading style and all is good.
But what if your document has lots of headings with just a few paragraphs
under each one and you want all of the section to be together on a page. In
other words, the heading and all the pragraphs to be on one page (if it
fits).
Doing this with the "Keep with Next" option is a real pain. You have to
have the setting on for all your paragraphs except the last one in a
sections. this mean having a seperate style for your "last" paragrash and
you have to change the style for those paragraphs and make sure your other
paragraphs are not set this is special style. Not a very intuitive or
user-friendly soution.
A "Keep with Previous" would solve the problem. This option would be on for
your "Normal" styles and off for your "Heading" styles.
I know I've seen this posted before around the web but I wanted to put the
request in one more time.
