when a theme is applied,it tends to print only in web pages, not in
documents.themes have nice look,so they must be allowed to print in documents
too.

If you have Word 2003, you can print the background by checking the box for
"Background colors and images" on the Print tab of Tools | Options. Note
that background colors will very likely not print to the edge.

In earlier versions, you must save the document as a Web page, open it in
your browser, and print it from there, having selected the option to print
background colors and images in your browser.
