Word - Show/Hide

When shown in Mac OS, hidden characters are grey but quite clear enough to
see adequately. In Windows versions of Word, characters are black
(presumably ³Automatic²) and obtrusive.

Is there a way of changing the text colour of these hidden text characters
to grey like the Mac version of Word. I cannot find it!

Hi Francis:

In a word -- No.

The characters are, as you suspect, "text colour". On the Mac, they are
generating the display externally somehow: if you change the display zoom
you will see that the pilcrows do not scale with the text either.
