Word shuts down continued.

When ever I run Word my computer shuts down after I have typed a few
sentences. Then when I reboot my monitor appears extremely garbled. I
have to cold boot my computer 2 or 3 times before the monitor is clear
again. Anyone help? e



Oh, I'm running windows xp and this is Word 2000. Thanks. e

The monitor problem seems to indicated that it might be something with the
video card, but see the article “Problems opening Word
Word opens very slowly; or crashes (or gives an error message) as soon as it
opens” at:
