Word shuts down when I select print options

hi,
When I install an hp deskjet 3550, Word (2000) shuts down when I select
"print set up" or "print". The error message is (some words are in spanish):

It happens only in Word. I can normally print from Excel

If the error occurs when you print the first item to rule out is a
corrupt or incorrect printer driver. Obtain an updated driver from the
manufacturer's web site and see if that resolves it.

Note that even if the error doesn't occur in other applications, such
as Excel, you should still rule out the printer driver as the cause of
the error.
