Word Shuts Down When Saving

My word program closes immediately after a document is saved for the first
time. This only happens the first time word is opened. Anytime after that, it
saves documents without any problems until the next time I restart my
computer and open up word. What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks to
everyone for thier help.
