Word shuts down when using spell check

I use office XP an Project 2002 on Win XP. After I
installed Project, every time a use spelling check on Word
(or Outlook)(automatic or not) the application shuts down.
Service packs were installed but it keeps on closing.

Does anybody know why is that?
