When I first access the file selection window word (Word
2000) lists files pretty quick. As I open and close files
this process slows down. After opening about 10 files Word
is slow to list files in the file selection window. It
gets progressively worse. I have to quit and restart Word
every 10 files--otherwise I get all stressed out waiting
for files to list. I recently loaded some patches from
Microsoft, one of which may have messed up Word. This is
aggrivating to say the least.
