Word sometimes crashes after starting the VBA editor

Hello,

recently Word 2000 crashed after trying to call the VBA editor, i. e. it
terminated immediately. I couldn't reproduce that case, but I've a strange
feeling about it.

What may be the reason for such a crash?
How can that crash be avoided?

Recently it rained when I was just about to mow the lawn. I couldn't
reproduce it but I have a strange feeling about it. What may be the cause
for such an event? How can the rain be stopped?

Sorry for the parody, but there is no way anybody can help from the
information you have given. There are so many possible causes for abends and
they can be very difficult to determine, especially if they are ad-hoc
events that cannot be reproduced. If it happens repeatedly you are the
person best placed to notice common features, and if it doesn't then you
just have to put it down to being part of life's rich tapestry.

Ok, reasonable.
Fortunately it didn't happen again, so ... being part of life's rich
tapestry.
And if it will happen again, I'll try to observe the circumstances more
detailed - if possible.

wrong from time to time for no obvious reason; let's hope it was a one-off.
