I have not had this problem myself (using Word 2007 and Vista), but our
church secretary described a problem she has (using Word 2003 and XP). She
made some spelling and grammatical corrections, then "saved" and then
exited. After she printed the church bulletin, she discovered that the
changes she had made were *not* saved, and she had printed the bulletin
without corrections. I would have thought that she simply did not save, but
she says (1) this has happened several times, and (2) she has friends who
have had the same problem, always with Word but on different computers. She
said that she has to use "save as" instead of "save" to be sure the document
has actually been saved.
Has anyone else had this experience, and do you have any idea how she can
avoid it in the future (other than needing to always use "save as")? This
is not a consistent problem--sometimes it happens, and sometimes not.
Thanks,
