Word spaces

Extra space in the word after inserting a degree sign in a line of type.
Such as "50 (degree sign) C wa ter". Can this be corrected?

Does this display like this on screen in both normal and print preview? Does
it print that way too?

Which versions of Word and Office and are they patched up to date? Have you
checked that you have the latest printer driver i8nstalled for your printer?

Thanks, Terry - we not only have an outdated printer driver, but an
outdated
printer. Your suggestion will get me a new one, I'm sure.

Hi Mary,

Another thing you might check is "Tools > Options > Compatibility". Some of
the settings (for Asian fonts) lead to too much space after some
characters... So check if the problem goes away once you choose the
recommended settings for your version.

Regards,
Klaus
