Word Startup error

Using Office 2000 (Win. 98SE) - When I start Word I get
the startup screen, Windows error beep and then lockup.
Doesn't show an error message. Mouse moves but I can't
click anything & have to reboot. All other Office programs
work fine. Have uninstalled & reinstalled Office 2000
twice .. no good. Scandisk & virus scan haven't shown any
problems. Please help! Let me know if you need any
additional info ... this is driving me nuts.

Try renaming "normal.dot" to normal.old" and then start Word.
