Word stops working

If I close word I will get a message saying that word has stopped working and
has to close looking for problem. Then it comes back saying that it is HP
problem and the printer drivers. This is becoming a major problem, the
closing and restarting all the time. I have updated and removed program many
times. New mother board. I have no clue what to do now.

It is the HP Printer driver that is at fault. Why did you change the
motherboard?

You need to delete the HP printer and install a different printer driver.

My wireless has went out two different times. First time I took it back to
where I bought it and they sent it off to some company and they replaced just
the wireless part. That only last for 1 wk. Doing updates through HP I
found out that they were having problems and recalling certain HP, the mother
boards where not reading the wireless devices.
What in the world is a Printer drive?

You are winding me up? You really don't know what a printer driver is? What
about drivers for all your other hardware: do you not know what they are
too?

Believe it or not, many people are able to use printers without having any
idea of what a printer driver is.

A printer driver is the software that interprets what is sent by
applications to the printer. Usually this software will be different for
each operating system. Some operating systems include built-in support
(drivers) for many printers (those that were in existence and popular when
the OS came out), but most printers will also come with their own drivers,
usually on a CD. From time to time this software is updated, and you can
check the Web site of your printer manufacturer to see if there is a newer
one for your model.

If your printer needs a new motherboard as your post suggests, then I would
imagine you would need to return it to the store where you bought it or find
out what other arrangements HP has made for replacement.

I too have this problem on my machine at home that has Vista and an HP
multifunction printer. The problem began after an installation of an auto
update for Windows, maybe two months ago. I searched the internet
thoroughly, contacted HP technical support, and all I can find is to
uninstall and reinstall the software (driver) from HP's site. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and the software two or three times
now and it has not solved the issue. It only seems to happen when closing
Word 2007. I did read out on the net that HP has not updated its
driver/software to date to fix this problem. Does anyone have more
information?

Only that there are thousands of users with the same or similar
multi-function HP printers that all have the same bug. Just keep reporting
it to HP and thy may possibly fix it.

I have had the same problem since installing SP1 for Vista, September 2008.
When closing a document an error message appears saying that Word 2007 has
stopped working and that hpz3r5ha.dll is the culprit. I have changed the
default printer to the microsoft xps printer and have had no errors since. I
have also posted this problem on the HP forums with no response. I have an
F4180 all-in-one HP printer, Word 2007 SP1, and Vista SP1. As you have
explained many users have this problem.
