WORD submenus not appearing

Mike

I can not get my submenus in WORD (or Excel) for that
matter to work.

The main drop down menus work fine but when I try to do
something like "Tools / Track Changes" or "View /
Toolbars", there is no submenu that appears next to Track
Changes or Toolbars.

As further information. I have already tried the following:

Reinstalled Office 2001
Replaced the Word Settings file
Replaced the Normal Template
Downloaded Office 2001 Service Release 1 (there was nothing
found to update)

I am assuming that there is an extension or something that
is not it its proper place.

Have you tried Help | Detect and Repair?

I do not have Detect and Repair under the Help menu. I have
the following:

About Ballon Help
Show Balloons
Turn Assistant Off
Microsoft Word Help
Contents and Index
Help on the Web
Online Registration

Additionally, while going through the help selections,
Microsoft Word Help works but when I select Contents and
Index, I get a message telling that MS Word Help can't be
found. However, that file is in fact in existance in
Microsoft Office>Office>Help.

Since you have a Mac version of Word, you may get better assistance in the
microsoft.public.mac.office.word NG. We're mostly PC users here.
