I'm afraid there is no answer to such a vague question other than "search
Word Help on the subject: Table of Contents". If you have any specific
questions someone will be more than willing to assist. In order to do so,
however, you'll need to provide them with considerably more information than
what you've divulged here.
Always specify what version of Word, what version of the operating system &
some degree of description of the system you're using. From your post we can
see *none* of that information -- it isn't even clear that you're using Word
at all, let alone which version... Or whether you're even using a Mac.
If you're using a PC you'd do best to use one of the Window Word groups
which you'll find on this page:
