Word Table

B

Betty

How do I setup a column in table so that numbers (without
decimals) and numbers with parenthesis will line up.
Example:
2,503
(2,503)
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Use the decimal tab. That's the one that looks like an upside-down T with a
dot.

Select the column and add a decimal tab stop where you want the numbers to
align. You don't need to insert tab characters; the text will automatically
align at the tab stop (provided it is left-aligned to begin with). You can
set a decimal tab stop through the Format | Tabs dialog or on the ruler
using the decimal tab stop button (click the tab button till you get the
upside-down T with a dot).
