word tables and hyperlinks

When I "Control" Click the hyperlink(a picure), the following message comes
up instead of the picture:-
"Other Folders Exist.
The selected locations do not contain pictures to preview.
Other folders or files exist but cannot be previewed"
(The picture is 196Kb and is a JPG file type)
Why is this?
